What the free preview does
When you start the guided preview, the three selected photos and written answers are uploaded to private storage so the Story Guide can create a genuine chapter. They are linked to a private browser session, are not placed in a public gallery and are scheduled to expire within seven days. In local demonstration mode, preview files remain on the device.
After the preview is ready, you may optionally provide an email address and explicitly request delivery of the private preview plus no more than two related reminders during that seven-day period. This is not required to use the preview. Each message contains an unsubscribe option; unsubscribing cancels every remaining reminder.
What a real order processes
When ordering is enabled, we may process the photos, written memories, delivery email, payment references and technical information required to create and deliver the book. A legacy project created while recording uploads were available may also contain a recording, which we process only to complete and deliver that project.
You may separately choose to receive up to two private reminders if you leave Stripe checkout without completing payment. This option is off by default, is not required to order, and every reminder includes a one-click unsubscribe link. No reminder is sent after payment, withdrawal of consent, or expiry of the private checkout.
How we protect memories
Private source files are never included in analytics. Order files use access-controlled private storage, written memories are encrypted at rest, and delivery links expire.
Third-party providers
Stripe processes payments, Supabase provides private database and file storage, and our contracted language provider processes only the submitted material needed to prepare the preview or book. Previously uploaded recordings may be handled by our contracted audio-processing provider only when needed to complete a legacy project. Hosting and email-delivery providers process limited technical or delivery information. Story content, email addresses and provider keys are never written to analytics logs.
Analytics and marketing cookies
We use limited first-party analytics to understand whether the service is working and where visitors enter the purchase journey. On the homepage, the TikTok Pixel is loaded only after you choose “Allow marketing cookies.” TikTok may then receive technical data, page views and general product-funnel events so we can measure advertising. Our custom Pixel events do not include names, email addresses, photos, audio, written memories or other customer identifiers, and the Pixel is not installed on private order pages.
Retention
Free-preview inputs are scheduled to expire within seven days. Incomplete full-order uploads expire within 48 hours. Purchased book and Story Journey content may remain available through the 30-day Journey and for up to 30 additional days, for a maximum of about 60 days from purchase. Payment or accounting records may be retained for the period required by law by the relevant payment provider or seller.
Your choices
You can remove any selected file before creating the preview. You can accept or refuse marketing cookies with equal access to the site, and change that choice at any time through “Privacy choices” in the homepage footer. Refusing marketing cookies does not affect the preview, checkout or delivery of your book.
